Welcome to A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home

Located in historic downtown Dartmouth, A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home is located within site of the world famous Halifax Harbour. The funeral home was originally built in 1900 as a residence and was renovated in 1957 and 1990.

Renovations have been completed.  Our new Reception Center, which accommodates receptions up to 200 people, is available for post funeral Gatherings or for use by community groups.  Our building has also undergone interior and exterior renovations and we are able to offer many options in the size and configuration of rooms for visitations.

A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home has ample parking and is wheel chair accessible. This unique funeral home provides a warm comfortable atmosphere with a chapel that can accommodate large and or private services.

Our knowledgeable and dedicated staff is here to assist you with the many service and product options we have available so you can celebrate the life of your loved one in a way that is meaningful to the family and within your budget. Family Service Counselors are also available to assist you with Aftercare and pre-arrangement consultation.
