The late Walter A. Cuffe, Sr. and now his son, Walter A. Cuffe, Jr. have provided service to their community for almost six decades.

The elder Cuffe first established his home on Johnson Street in Lynn in 1934 and then, in 1976, merged his home with the McGinn Funeral Home located at 157 Maple Street. The McGinn home itself was one of the oldest in Lynn, having been founded by Lawrence G. and William E. McGinn.

The Cuffe-McGinn home on Maple Street was expanded in 1981 and again enlarged in 1992, making it one of the largest and most complete facilities on the Massachusetts North Shore.

In 1995, Walter Cuffe, Jr. merged his company with the Loewen Group International, which then re-organized as the Alderwoods Group in 2002. Finally, in 2007, the Alderwoods Group merged with Service Corporation International.

Today, the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home is proud to be a Dignity Memorial Provider. Our caring and compassionate staff is available to you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to answer your needs.
