History of Alexander Memorial Park
For five generations, the Alexander family and the staff of Alexander Memorial Park have been committed to serving families with the highest degree of professionalism and respect. Memorial Park Cemetery was established in 1917 on the highest point in Evansville far from commercial and industrial development. The Alexander family purchased the cemetery in 1987 and added Evansville's first crematory-becoming the area's only funeral service professional to provide complete funeral, cremation and cemetery services.

Alexander Memorial Park encompasses acres of rolling hills covered with trees and is known as one of the most natural and park-like cemeteries in the area. We offer the area's finest quality mausoleum buildings, including our Heritage Chapel, which hosts our annual Holiday Remembrance Program for families to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones. In 1999, we proudly hosted the Dignity Memorial® Vietnam Wall for more than 50,000 residents to be able to view the three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C.

At Alexander Memorial Park, private mausoleums, unique heritage estates, and our Veterans Field of Honor, provide additional ways to honor loved ones. Also, our Family Center provides a relaxing space for families to gather after the service. Our commitment to exceed expectations and provide a beautiful place of remembrance has always been our top priority.
