History of Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc.
The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. was established in 1955 at its current location, 312 E. Locust Street, by community leader Harold Bennett. Mr. Bennett was joined by Martin Houser in 1970. In 1972, Mr. Houser assumed ownership of the funeral home, but Mr. Bennett remained active with the funeral home until his death in 1991.
