The Bill Eisenhour Funeral Homes and Cremation Centers were founded in Del City, Oklahoma in 1966. Bill Eisenhour, whose brother Harold was already in the funeral profession in Blanchard, Oklahoma, purchased a small residence at 5005 Southeast 29th St. and converted it into the funeral home. Bill and Harold’s brother, Lloyd joined them in the new business.
As the business grew, it was apparent to the Eisenhour brothers that new facilities would be needed. In 1969, they added their first funeral chapel, and the business continued to serve more families. In 1970, the Northeast location was constructed, and the business grew to serve more families than any other funeral home in Eastern Oklahoma County.
In 1978, the Northeast location at 8805 Northeast 23rd St. was completely updated and remodeled, and a new chapel was constructed. A remodel of the Southeast location took place in 1982. In 1996, a state-of-the-art cremation and embalming facility was built. Bill Eisenhour Funeral Homes installed the first and only crematory in Eastern Oklahoma County. In 2003, the business added a second crematory.
The Bill Eisenhour family and funeral home staff continues the longstanding family tradition of sincere, hometown service to families in central Oklahoma.
