Bill Merritt opened his first funeral home in Bethany, Oklahoma, in 1932. He envisioned his funeral home would provide the best quality of care with honor and dignity. Mr. Merritt owned and operated the Bill Merritt Funeral Homes for 59 years.

Throughout the years, Mr. Merritt built his reputation on giving families the honor and dignity they deserve during their time of need. Mr. Merritt passed away in 1991, but his tradition of service is still going strong. We offer the same quality of care that Mr. Merritt first envisioned in 1932 and we’re proud to carry on that tradition under the time-honored name of Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
