History of Chapel Hill Funeral Home

Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens was established as an association in 1946 in a small office surrounded by wheat fields. In 1996, Chapel Hill Funeral Home was developed in the facility that once housed the Shook Memorial United Methodist Church. Over the next several years, the land around Chapel Hill saw tremendous growth.

Occupying approximately 85 acres, our peaceful and serene cemetery features 10 different gardens, a variety of trees, beautiful flowers and statuary. We offer traditional earthen burial, lawn crypts and family estates. The Gethsemane Mausoleum offers both inside and outside crypts and niches. You will also find niches to entomb the cremated remains of your loved one in the Devotion columbarium. We offer flush-to-the-ground bronze-on-granite monuments and the option to erect a bench in your loved one's memory in select areas of our gardens. There are a variety of options to be found for the final resting place of your loved one, and our staff would be honored to assist you with these decisions. At Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, we are committed to assisting families with compassionate, professional and personal service.

Today, as a full-service facility, we are proud members of the Dignity Memorial® national network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers. With a welcoming atmosphere designed to make families feel comfortable, our funeral home features a large and inviting foyer, visitation rooms furnished for comfort and reflection and a warm chapel that can seat approximately 250 people.

We pride ourselves on customizing each funeral as a celebration of the life lived. We believe that funeral services should reflect the lives of those being honored, and we strive to create meaningful tributes to those who have meant so much to family and friends.
