In 1934, Claude R. Boyd founded a funeral Home in Babylon Village to serve Babylon and its surrounding communities. As the population grew, he opened a second location in Deer Park in 1956. Charles Spencer, a licensed funeral director, came aboard to manage the funeral homes.
Claude R. Boyd began with a commitment to a high standard of service, and throughout our history we have continued to lead and innovate while maintaining those high standards of service. Everyone at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes is proud to uphold this heritage and commitment to our community.
We have expanded on our founder’s vision and combined with the Lang-Tobia-DiPalma Funeral Home to form the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes at 255 Higbie Lane in West Islip.
