History of Crosman Funeral Home
Crosman Funeral Home was founded by Fred E. Crosman in 1896 and served its first family on November 11, 1896. The family tradition was carried on by Leonard Crosman who assumed control of the family business during the 1940s and ran it for many years.

In 1956, Leonard Crosman purchased the home of attorney Adam Sickle at 40 Main Street in Lisbon Falls, Maine. Originally built by Jeremiah Philbrook in 1875, the building has been the home of Crosman Funeral Home for more than 53 years.

In 1963, Leonard Crosman sold the family business to Philip Mahaney who continued the tradition of serving the families of greater Lisbon with the same honor and respect as his predecessors until his retirement in 1983. At that time, George and Vicki Janosco assumed ownership of the funeral home from Mr. Mahaney and together ran it as a family business for 15 years.

Crosman Funeral Home became part of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral homes in 1998. Its commitment to unwavering quality and service has continued since its founding in 1896.
