History of Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center
Ellers Mortuary was founded in 1924 by Howard W. Ellers. When Howard died in 1952, his sons took over the family business, until 1984 when longtime employee, Philip D. Weaver, Richard Myers, and the support staff kept Ellers going when after the passing of Howard Eller’s daughter-in-law Mimi who was running the business.
In 2007, Paul St. Pierre, a sixth generation Funeral Director, acquired the funeral homes to provide the same outstanding funeral service for Indiana families today as Howard Ellers did eight decades ago. In 2016 Ellers became a part of the Dignity Memorial® network, allowing us to offer you exclusive benefits like national transferability.
