East Lawn Palms Cemetery Named “Cemetery-of-the-Year”

Tucson, AZ - June 21, 2012

East Lawn Palms Cemetery in Tucson has been named “Cemetery of the Year” for 2012 by the Arizona Funeral, Cemetery & Cremation Association (AFCCA). The award was announced at the annual AFCCA Convention in Scottsdale on June 8.

“East Lawn Palms has been an excellent provider of burial and cremation options to Tucson families for more than 50 years,” said Arick Dombrowski, general manager at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, an honored Dignity Memorial® provider. “I am very proud of the associates at East Lawn Palms for their professionalism and service to the Tucson community.”

Occupying 52 acres, East Lawn Palms Cemetery offers families a peaceful and serene setting featuring a backdrop of the Santa Catalina Mountains, numerous trees, lovely flowers, a nature garden, a Veterans’ monument and both flush-to-the ground and upright monument gardens. The next phase of development at the cemetery will be an expanded cremation garden providing families with additional memorialization opportunities.

The AFCCA has been presenting the Professionalism Awards for more than 20 years. Among the criteria for being nominated are demonstrating high, measured levels of customer service; minimal amount of licensing board complaints; commitment to the local community and commitment to the betterment of the industry.

The AFCCA works to promote continuing education, high ethical standards and advocacy for families and professionals in the death care industry. For more information, visit www.azfcca.org.
