History of Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens (originally Forest Lawn Memorial Park) was founded by the Miller and Morrison families in 1928. The cemetery covers approximately 100 acres and contains nearly 22,000 burials. The grounds include several garden mausoleums, private mausoleums, private estates and cremation estates.
