The story of Gearhart Funeral Home begins in 1972, when Tom Gearhart built the Gearhart Funeral Chapel on Northdale Boulevard in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Built upon the recommendation of Father Bernard Reiser, a local parish priest, the chapel was continually operated until 1993, when a new facility was constructed just a block away. Tom Gearhart began with a commitment to a high standard of service, and throughout our history we have continued to lead and innovate while maintaining that standard.
