For six generations and 150 years, Kraft Funeral Service has been helping people throughout southern Indiana as they deal with one of life’s most difficult experiences - the loss of a loved one.
From the historic funeral home on Spring Street in downtown New Albany, as well as the funeral home located on the front of Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park on Charlestown Road, members of the Kraft family continue to assist families as they make arrangements for those they love.
Of course, no business can continue for well over a century without changes. When George Kraft began what would become the family business, there were none of the modern conveniences we now take for granted like cars, electrical lights and television. Over the years, Kraft Funeral Service has constantly worked to move forward with the times to enhance the services they provide, including the acquisition of Graceland Memorial Park in 1998, and an affiliation with the Dignity Memorial® network of providers the same year.
At our Charlestown Road location, families can experience the professional services that have become the hallmark of Kraft Funeral Service, along with the conveniences and savings associated with a true funeral home-cemetery combination.
