History of Leber Funeral Home
In 1906 John Leber and his son Henry combined their livery business and funeral expertise forming John Leber and Son Funeral Directors. This began what would develop into 100 years and five generations of funeral service to the Hudson County community.
The 1920’s saw Henry Leber move the business into the current location on the corner of 20th street and Kennedy Blvd. Armed with a diligent work ethic, tireless community and civil service Harry built Leber Funeral Home into one of the largest funeral homes in New Jersey. In 1973 he turned the business over to his sons who have continued his legacy and expanded into other Northern and Central New Jersey Counties.
