Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care has been a part of the Mesa community since its founding in 1995 by Jeanie Hendricks. With a vision of personalized service and compassionate care, Ms. Hendricks established Mariposa Gardens’ reputation for service excellence and community outreach in the East Valley.
Our cemetery, established in 1999, is a unique sanctuary in Arizona. Situated on more than 20 acres, our meticulously maintained grounds present a variety of trees, flowering shrubs, green grass and beautiful flowerbeds that provide a quiet and picturesque setting in which to honor the memory of your loved one.
In 2001, a long-standing desire of Ms. Hendricks was realized with the creation of the Mariposa Gardens Labyrinth, which was formed with river rock set in place by staff and community volunteers. A unique feature of our park, the Labyrinth is modeled after the one at the Chartres Cathedral near Paris, France. Dating back 4,000 years, these paths were walked as a pilgrimage or for meditation. Open to the public, we offer guided walks through the Labyrinth.
Throughout the years, the staff at Mariposa Gardens has continued in the traditions set forth by Ms. Hendricks, maintaining an inspirational level of trust and loyalty from the families we serve. Everyone at Mariposa Gardens is proud to uphold our heritage and commitment to our community.
