Moss Service Funeral Home was founded in 1882 by C.D. Scheuing, who was one of Cullman’s first embalmers. In 1936, the business was sold to J. Grady Moss who operated the funeral home under the name of Moss Scheuing Funeral Home until 1938. At this time, the name changed to Moss-Service Funeral Home because, as the name implies, we are dedicated to rendering the very best service with compassion, professionalism and dignity.
Today, we’re proud to be a member of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers. Dignity Memorial providers offer exclusive benefits, including National Transferability of Prearranged Services, the Bereavement Travel Program, the 24-Hour Compassion Helpline® and access to an acclaimed grief management library. The Dignity Memorial brand is your assurance of quality, value, caring service and customer satisfaction.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is a member of the Alabama Funeral Directors Association.
