History of Muehlig Funeral Chapel
Muehlig Funeral Chapel was founded by Florian C. Muehlig, a German cabinetmaker. Born in 1810 in Rossbach, Bavaria, Muehlig came to Ann Arbor in 1840. Our firm is the oldest funeral home in the state of Michigan, and it is steeped in a tradition of community service and compassionate care.
We continue this tradition today as part of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers. We’re committed to exceeding expectations and delivering a standard of service that is 100 percent guaranteed.
