Gail Roberts Veenstra

Beloved family member and dear friend, Gail Roberts Veenstra, passed away in Falls Church, VA on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Born on September 19, 1939 in Washington, DC, Gail was a 47 year resident of Falls Church, VA. She retired in 1996 after working for the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC for 34 years. Gail is lovingly survived by her stepsons, John S. (Diane) and David Veenstra; her grandchildren, Kasey, John T., Daniel, Gail, and Theodore R. Veenstra; as well as her eight great-grandchildren. Gail was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Theodore A. Veenstra, Jr. as well as her stepsons, Derick, Roger, and Theodore K. Veenstra; and grandson, Matthew Veenstra. Gail was a loving and devoted wife, grandmother, and friend to many. She will be missed dearly by all who have been lucky enough to have known her. Memorial service will be on Saturday, July 20 at 1pm at Sleepy Hollow United Methodist Church, followed by a reception from 2-3pm. Gail will be laid to rest at Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, VA. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made as donations to the Sleepy Hollow United Methodist Church in Falls Church, VA or to the Smithsonian Institution.
