Doris Peterson Logan Reid Hayden was an Evangelist of Apostolic faith. She was born on July 21, 1946, in
Greensboro, Alabama to the late Rolax and Rosa Peterson. She was the baby/caboose out of 12 children.
Doris was a caretaker for her mother, Rosa Peterson for several years until her passing and also took care of her husband, James Hayden, who passed away on November 24, 2020. When her children were very
young, she would make their clothes. She enjoyed arts and crafts in her spare time creating bouquets, flower arrangements, arches for weddings and pop tab keychains. She was so creative.
Doris loved shopping and had to have a matching suit, hat, shoes and purse!
Doris was a sister, wife, mother, aunt (Aunt Dot) and grandmother. She was a virtuous woman and the
family hopes when she got to Heaven she had an unlimited access to Pepsi and chips, her favorites.
Doris is preceding in death by her parents; siblings, Frances, Tom, Clayton, June Lee, AngieLee, Lola, Lovell, Mary, Reuben and Rolax; and husband.
Doris leaves behind her best friend, Sandy Ewell; three children, Jenel Logan, Benjamin Reid and Cynthia Pinkey; brother, Donald; grandchildren, Matthew, Quintessa, Alexandria, Iesha, Isaiah; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild, whom she didn’t get to meet.
A visitation for Doris will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM.
