Jean F. Cross

Mrs. Jean F. Cross was born November 2, 1929, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Joseph L. Jackson Sr. and Elsa M. Clark Jackson. She attended Indianapolis Public Schools #37 & #56 in addition to Crispus Attucks High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jean accepted Christ and was baptized at Saint John A.M.E. Church at an early age. She was a devoted child of God. Jean worked as an Optical Technician. She loved working in the church, and was an avid reader, loved gardening, crocheting and her two dogs. She was known by her neighbors as Grandma. Jean Cross was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Cross, Sr.; her parents, and her siblings: Gilda Tanner, Donald, Glenn, Joseph Jr. and Duane and her son, Leonard McCauley. On Monday, April 29, 2024, Jean went home to be with our Heavenly Father. Jean leaves to cherish her memory her children: Charles McCauley, Cheryl Hollis, Roger McCauley, Jeffrey Barbour (Gloria), Stephanie Barbour, Gerald Barbour and Jeanette Barbour. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors who she loved dearly.
