In May of 1910, the Moore family opened its first funeral home.
The Moore’s three sons, Harry, Howard “Gumpy”, and Robert “Bob”, all joined their father as the funeral home grew to accommodate a growing population. In the 1930s, the Moore’s established Parkdale Cemetery near downtown Arlington.
The Moore’s built a second funeral home on North Davis Drive adjacent to the cemetery in the early 1960s. A long-time associate of the Moore’s, Watson Frazar, has helped continue what the Moore family began.
In the 1980s, Moore built their newest chapel at the corner of Bowen Road and Pleasant Springs near I-20 to accommodate the rapidly growing needs of Southeast Tarrant County.
