History of Pegg, Paxson & Springer Funeral Chapel
Pegg, Paxson, and Springer Funeral Chapel was founded in 1910 by Winfield E. Pegg. The funeral home was originally located on the corner of Angel and Farmington Roads before it was moved to the present location at 2nd and Watson in the mid 1940s.

When Mr. Pegg passed away in 1950, his daughter, Hazel Paxson, began operating the funeral home. Several years later, her son, Elwin Paxson, became involved in the family business.

In the 1960s, Elwin served as the State Representative for the Beaverton area. In the latter part of the 1960s, Jim Springer became the owner of the funeral home, and the name was changed to Pegg, Paxson and Springer Funeral Chapel.

Today, Pegg, Paxson and Springer Funeral Chapel is honored to be a member of Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers.
