In 1956, George A. Morton opened Roselawn Memorial Gardens, and since that time, it has continued to grow into becoming one of the largest perpetual care cemeteries in West Virginia. Roselawn has 13 beautifully landscaped gardens, six mausoleum buildings, including a chapel mausoleum, and private estates that span across 109 acres, as well as one of the most elaborate displays of religious art in the area.
In May 2008, Roselawn Funeral Home opened adjacent to the cemetery. The addition of the funeral home made Roselawn the only full-service facility in Southern West Virginia. We have a spacious funeral chapel, viewing rooms and a hospitality lounge for families to accommodate any service.
Today, we’re proud to be a member of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers. Dignity Memorial providers offer exclusive benefits, including National Transferability of Prearranged Services, the Bereavement Travel Program, the 24-Hour Compassion Helpline® and access to an acclaimed grief management library.
