History of Sherrie Bream Funeral home
The Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home was established in 1937 by the original owners, Elton and Cleora Bream. Mr. Bream was a licensed funeral director for more than 50 years. Mrs. Bream, a licensed funeral director and registered nurse, operated the only ambulatory service in the Gasport area for many years.

In 1972 Kenneth H. Sherrie, Sr. purchased the Bream Funeral Home from Mrs. Bream and renamed it the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home. Mrs. Bream continued to assist funerals until 1990. Kenneth H. Sherrie II became manager of the funeral home in 1978 after graduating from Hudson Valley Community College. Along with his father Kenneth H. Sherrie, Sr., he also graduated from Simmons School of Embalming and Mortuary Science in 1960.

Kenneth H. Sherrie, Sr. began with a commitment to a high standard of service, and throughout our history, we have continued to lead and innovate while maintaining those high standards. Everyone at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home is proud to uphold this heritage and commitment to our community.

Ken Sherrie II and his wife, Gigi, continue to operate and manage the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home.
