History of Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home
In 1917, Italian immigrant Louis E. Richards founded a funeral home in Bridgeport based on compassionate service, sincerity and a dedication to helping others in their time of need. His business was purchased in the 1950s by the late Salvatore S. Spadaccino, who established the Richards - Spadaccino Funeral Home. As Spadaccino’s family grew, the name was changed to the S. Spadaccino & Sons and became one of the most respected funeral firms in the greater Bridgeport area.
The years have passed and the names have changed, but the age old traditions that the business was founded upon have not only endured, but also remain the primary focus of serving families. It is comforting to know that you can still trust the Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home to be part of your family’s tradition, just as it has been for generations in the past.
