History of Stonewall Memory Gardens

Stonewall Memory Gardens Cemetery was established in 1951 by W. Franklin Hibbs. Located on the Dogan Property (Henry Dogan Plantation/Peach Grove Plantation), our cemetery is surrounded on all four sides by the Manassas National Battlefield Park. Portions of the cemetery were used in the opening of the Second Battle of Manassas/Bull Run during the evening of August 28, 1862. We also have two other historic properties, the Dogan Cemetery and the M.E. Dogan House, located in the park. Stonewall Memory Gardens has and will continue to expand through the years to provide for a variety of committal services.
