Mrs. S.P. Waltrip and her son, Robert E. Waltrip, established Heights Funeral Home in 1925. After the untimely death of Robert E. Waltrip in 1951, his son, Robert L. Waltrip, carried on the tradition of providing families with exceptional care.

As Houston grew, Robert L. Waltrip recognized the need to serve the ever expanding community. In 1962 he founded Waltrip Funeral Directors with a commitment to a higher standard of service. Today, we continue to be an integral part of Spring Branch and the surrounding communities, and we are proud to uphold the heritage, commitment and respect that the Waltrip Family established.
