History of Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park
Woodlawn Memorial Park was established in 1938 by Clyde M. Gaffney Sr. and was the first non-monument cemetery in South Carolina. Approximately 35,000 people have been interred and entombed at Woodlawn since its inception. Our beautiful Woodlawn Funeral Home was established in 1996 and is located on the same grounds as the cemetery with plenty of parking. Woodlawn Memorial Park's bell tower is located at the front entrance and is a major landmark in Greenville.
