

Neva and Jim (her husband) spent over 25 years visiting Apache Junction, Arizona over the Winters; and after her husband’s passing, Neva moved down to become a permanent resident in Brookdale Assisted living until she moved in with her daughter, Dawn, and husband, Gary where she spent her final years.
Neva was an avid antique collector, who opened her own business, JayNeva’s Second Childhood.
Neva is predeceased by her beloved husband, James Schermerhorn; siblings, Lloyd, Larry, Gordon, and Joan; daughter Pam; son in law Edson; and grandson Tacunda.
Neva is survived by: daughters Dawn (Gary) Vosburgh and Nancy (Mark) Beers; son Danny (Elaine) Schermerhorn; grandchildren Cory, Michelle (Art) Carrier, Nicole (Adam) Nelsen,Mjr. David Schermerhorn, Amy (Brett) Larwick, Bob (Lynn) Olson, Nyasha, Tauri, and Miziwi; great grandchildren Lotus, Tara, Sajus, Ayla, Samatha, Hanna, Nancy, Christopher, Brian, Deserai, Ian and Evan; brothers Darrel (Darleen) Hicks, Cecil (Delores) Hicks, Jerome (Lorraine), Irving (Shirley)and Kerry (Kimmy); and sisters June Klausen and Janet (Roy) Miller.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Neva’s close friends and caregivers: Lonnie, Saul Amber, and Pastor Isaac. As well as a very special thank you to her personal caregiver, Laura.
Her Memorial service will be this August at the family home in Minnesota
