

Born May 24, 1941, in Shippensburg, PA, daughter of the late Leroy and Hazel (Ott) Daihl.
Glenda was retired as a supervisor from Highmark/Blue Shield. She enjoyed reading and cross stitch.
Surviving are her loving husband, James Slaseman, Jr. of New Cumberland; 2 sons, James Slaseman III of New Cumberland and Martin Slaseman of Ephrata; her daughter-in-law, Joanne L. Slaseman of Dover; 3 grandchildren, James Slaseman IV, Martin Slaseman III and Maicie Schmeck; 3 brothers, Clever (Amy) Daihl, Herman Daihl (and Joanne McCarthy), and Michael Daihl; a sister, Darlene (Randy) Eichelberger; and her caregiver, Joyce Owusu and her son, Frank Owusu.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Isreal Slaseman, and a brother, Galen Daihl.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109 with Rev. Arlene Dunn officiating. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens will follow the service.
The family would like to extend great gratitude to her doctor, Dr. Jeffery Dunkelberger, the nurses at Celtic Hospice and J.E.T Response.
