Born December 15, 1946 in Staunton, she was the daughter of Lila Reid Mowry and the late Clyde Palmer Reid. On August 20, 1965 she married Thomas Eugene Fox. The two shared 55 years of wonderful marriage together.
Mary was a graduate of Waynesboro High School Class of 1965. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the former CFW Telephone Company in Waynesboro for over 35 years and later Kenco Logistics of Lyndhurst for over 10 years. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Waynesboro and had once served as secretary for the church. She greatly enjoyed bowling with the Moose League, cross-stitch, shopping, and watching sports with her husband and two sons. She will be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend to many.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two Sons, Mark Randall “Randy” Fox and Wife, Anna of Sandusky, OH, and Terry Fox and Fiancé, Marie Powell of Stuarts Draft; Grandchildren, Taylor Fox (Kelsey Cupp) of Stuarts Draft, Brandon Fox (Lindsey Fox) of Dayton, OH, Jordan Fox (Rachel Dozier) of Bowling Green, OH, Caleb Fox (Taylor Estes) of Stuarts Draft, Kaeli Reynolds of Stuarts Draft, and Parker Powell of Stuarts Draft; Great-Grandchildren, Emberly Fox, Greyson Fox, and Brynlee Sullivan; Sisters, Susan Overby of Mount Airy, NC and Francis Pike and Husband, Larry of Virginia Beach, Va; Brother, Billy Reid and Wife, Gayle of Waynesboro; and a number of Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro, with Pastor Kevin Channell officiating. All who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
