History

Front exterior building at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home Heiligtag Funeral Home was founded in the 1800s in Antonia, Missouri, by August Heiligtag. In addition to being a funeral home, it was also a feed, hardware and woodworking store.

Relocated and second firm added

In the 30s, the funeral home moved to Imperial, Missouri. A 2nd firm opened in 1967 to serve the families of Arnold, Missouri, which was operated by Art and Elmer Heiligtag. The Imperial location eventually closed in the late 90s.

Ted Fendler Funeral Home

Ted Fendler Funeral Home was founded in 1967 by Ollie Fendler and Ferd B. Lang Jr. In 1984, Mr. Lang purchased the funeral home and changed the name to Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.

Merging to create today’s funeral home

In 2002, Lang-Fendler Funeral Home and Heiligtag Funeral Home merged together, creating Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
