Richard graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Services in 1982 and has worked as a funeral director for more than 3 decades. Before joining our funeral home, he spent 25 years as part of the federal Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team, working with victims of the Oklahoma City bombing, the World Trade Centers attacks in New York City and Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. He says being part of such events really showed him how precious life is and that it should not be taken for granted. Richard and his wife, Kim, have been married for 37 years. They have 2 children and 2 granddaughters. In his free time, Richard enjoys woodworking, yard work and playing with his granddaughters. He is a member of First Baptist Church of Denton.
