Joseph P. Damonti is the general manager of the 3 locations of Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service, Inc. in New City, Congers and Stony Point. The youngest of 3 boys, Joseph was born in the Bronx and raised in Valley Cottage. He is a 1983 graduate of Nyack High School and received his associate degree in mortuary science from SUNY Farmingdale in 1986. After completing his residency in Queens, Joseph returned to Rockland County in July 1987 to serve his community at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service, Inc. as a director. Joseph's hard work, selflessness, compassion and devotion to the funeral industry led him to promotion in 2001 as general manager.
With a great work ethic, Joseph has been a natural team player and genuine caregiver to families over the years. With the respect and support of his staff, Joseph has elevated the standard of service to ensure that the families of Rockland are served with dignity and compassion. Under Joseph's leadership, Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service, Inc. has become the premier funeral home in Rockland County. His keen interest in bettering the lives of others led Joseph to become involved in the community and his kindness and consideration radiate to those around him. Joseph lives in New City with his family.
Elvis Terrance Baney
Since 2014 Elvis Baney has been providing compassionate care to families in the Rockland County area. He graduated with a degree in mortuary science from American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in 2014 and began his residency at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service, Inc. that same year. Elvis takes pride in providing sensitive and dignified services to families, treating them as if they were his own.
GMAC F Macri
Gerard Macri has been a licensed funeral director with Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service since 2013. He studied mortuary science at American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service and received his degree in 2000. Gerard began working with Dignity Memorial® in 2005, guiding families through the most difficult times with professionalism and compassion.
Jake P Williams
Born and raised in Port Chest, New York, Jake is a funeral director in New York and Connecticut. He graduated from Port Chester High School in 1999 and after experimenting in many different fields, he started working for Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps where he developed an interest in mortuary science. Jake went on to study at American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service and graduated in 2007. He joined the Dignity Memorial® team in 2016 and came to Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., in 2017. Jake is well versed in serving a multitude of different ethnic groups and religious affiliations.
Holly Christine Nieves
Born and raised in Rockland County, New York, Holly C. Nieves is a licensed funeral director and advance planning expert. A graduate of North Rockland High School, she received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Syracuse University. Holly then studied funeral service at American Academy McAllister Institute, graduating in 2006. Her genuine passion for helping families plan in advance provides a peace of mind, sparing loved ones the stress of making final arrangements during a difficult time. Holly lives in Bardonia with her husband and three children.
