Agustine T. Diaz, 80, of Abilene, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019. He was born on May 5, 1939 to Leon and Anita Diaz. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Reyes and Charlie, and sisters Rosa, Isabel, and Rosie. Those left to treasure his memory are his wife Estella Diaz; sons Agustine Diaz, Jr., Leon Diaz, Danny Diaz, and Christopher DeLeon; daughter Alisa Doyle; brother Edward Diaz Sr.; sisters Cecelia Hambrick, Anita Diaz, Ramona Morel, Theodora Ruvalcaba, and Lupe Diaz; and 7 grandchildren.
A visitation from 6:oopm to 8:00pm with a Rosary beginning at 7:00pm will be held on the evening of Monday, August 12 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South, Abilene. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 13 at 11:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 826 Cottonwood St., Abilene followed by interment at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 W. Lake Rd, Abilene at 1:00pm.
