The family will receive guests on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 4 pm to 6 pm in the Griggs Schooler Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 5400 S. Bell. Memorial Services will be held Monday, June 18, 2018, at 10 am in the Pioneer Chapel.
Belanie was born on August 28,1956 in Amarillo, TX to Roland and Fern Herring-Yell. She was a 1974 graduate of Caprock High School and in 1997, she achieved a degree in accounting from West Texas A & M University. Shortly after, she obtained her CPA Certification and would go on to server as CPA for several small companies throughout the years, most recently the Summit Trucking Group. She could always be found cheering in the stands or sidelines (sometimes correcting referees and officials) for any sporting event her boys, granddaughter, nieces and nephews; and any athletic event involving her beloved WTAMU Buffs were involved in.
Belanie was preceded in death by her son Bryan Kennedy, her parents, and her sister Rolene Arkon. Those left to cherish her memories are her son Dr. Chad Kennedy and wife Kara of Amarillo, granddaughter Pate of Amarillo; her sister Nina Lavake and husband John of Stratford; her brother Tommy Herring of Amarillo; parents Lewis and Kara Jena Yell; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many special friends and close coworkers. The family would like to extend a special thank you the nurses and staff of Moore County Hospice and Hospital.
