On Sunday December 22nd, 2019, Ben T. Calomay, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 78. Ben was born November 19, 1941 in Quezon City, Philippines. He received his bachelor's degree at the University of Manila and then went on to become a Certified Public Accountant. Ben migrated to the United States in 1968 and worked as a CPA for over 40 years.
He was fondly known for his humor, his smile, his laugh and making sure all around him had a good time, especially his children and their cousins. He was also known for being a passionate fan of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Ben was preceded in death by his father, Alfonso, and his mother, Gloria. He is survived by his wife, Blanca, his brother, Art, his two sisters, Adel and Lyn, the mother of his children, Loida, their two sons, Loyd and Benjamin Jay, and grandson, Jude.
A viewing will be on Friday, January 3, 2020, from 5-9pm followed by a funeral service on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 10am-12pm at Funeraria Del Angel - Anaheim, 2425 W. Lincoln Ave. in Anaheim, CA.
