

She was born on October 21, 1931 to parents Randolph F. Debevoise and Helen F. Debevoise in Orange, New Jersey. She attended the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, New York, and attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, where she earned her BA degree in Mathematics.
After graduation she started her career as a Math Teacher at The Madera School in Greenway, Virginia, and Oldfields School in Glencoe, Maryland.
She was a treasurer of many organizations, such as the Republican Women of Anne Arundel County, and the Mere Point Yacht Club in Brunswick, Maine. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Anne Arundel Medical Center for 40 years!
She enjoyed her family and friends and had a great love for travel. She was an excellent knitter and enjoyed her crossword puzzles and sudoku’s. Baking and cooking were also a love of hers, and many who were lucky enough to experience her baking had rave reviews.
She is survived by her two children, Peter M. Hustvedt and his wife, Trish Hustvedt, of Brunswick, Maine; and Virginia P. Hustvedt of Annapolis, Maryland. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Todd B. Rikli of Chantilly, Virginia; Brian R. Hustvedt of Clarksburg, Maryland; Kyle A. Bartow of Melbourne, Florida; and Rachel C. Leak of Brunswick, Maine, as well as three great-grandchildren, Oliver F. Bartow, Amy Rikli and Alina Rikli. She is pre deceased by husband Stephen R. Hustvedt and son, Thomas T. Hustvedt, as well as two sisters, Louise D. Winninghoff and Aletta D. Brokaw.
A remembrance gathering will be held at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, Maryland, on November 4, 2023 from 2 to 5 PM
In lieu of flowers, she would like donations made to the Midcoast Humane Society in Brunswick, Maine, or Hospice of the Chesapeake.
