Sybil Inez Doss Reaves

Funeral service for Sybil Inez Doss Reaves, 91 of Anniston will be 11:00 am, Friday, August 10, 2018 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Virgil Bohn officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm, Thursday at the funeral home

Survivors include her sons, Steven D. Reaves (Debbie), Brandon B. Reaves and Phillip R. Reaves; her sister, Sue Doss Knight and sister-in-law, Frances Green Doss; and many nieces and nephews and special great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mrs. Reaves is preceded in death by her parents, James Doss and Timpie Ozell Haynes Doss; her husband of 66 years, Raymond E. Reaves; brother, James V. “Jimmy” Doss and daughter-in-law, Gayla Leahey Reaves.

She graduated from Jacksonville Teachers College (now JSU) and worked at JSU until retirement. She then began traveling and playing piano and organ at many churches until she retired from playing music at Eulaton Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Church Missionary Program, Gideons International; The Eastern Star or a charity of choice.
