Arlone was born October 18, 1925 in Alta Vista, KS to Albert and Nahda Swartz. She lived through some of the world’s most historical and significant events. She was born and raised on a farm and was the second of 6 children.
Arlone retired from Vought Aerospace Company after a 38 year career in the Engineering department. She started out as a secretary and ended her career as a Standards Engineer. Arlone was proud of her career and was promoted multiple times due to her hard work and dedication.
A few short years after starting her career at Vought, Arlone met her husband, Burt Estill. They enjoyed 36 years together.
Through the years, Arlone enjoyed sewing, playing the organ, shopping for a bargain and spending time with her family and friends. She had a keen sense of style and always looked her best no matter where she was going. She was a generous and loving mother to her two children but her favorite title was Nana. She loved being a part of a big family. She was close to her brothers and sisters and was a proud aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Although, she lived in Texas over 50 years, Kansas was always her home. She went back as often as she could over the years until she was no longer able.
Arlone was preceded in death by her husband, Burt Estill, mother and father Nahda and Albert Swartz, as well as her brothers, Virgil and Evan Swartz and sister, Twila Swartz.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Coomer and son, Terry Herrman, 2 grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher Herrman, granddaughter Kristin Crawford (David), 3 great grandchildren, sisters Norma Dockins and Barbara Adams (Larry), stepdaughters Linda Dunn (Larry) and Kathy Noren (Richard), stepson, John Estill and numerous nieces and nephews.
