EJ Fowler

E.J. Fowler, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away on November 1, 2019 at the age of 97. E.J. was born in Trenton, Texas on September 23, 1922 to James A. and Minnie May Fowler.

In 1942, E.J. enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served honorable for three years. He then worked as a Partsman for Vought Aircraft Industries from which he retired after 36 years. E.J. acted as Deacon for Fairview Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas where he faithfully attended church services every Sunday.

E.J. was a devoted baseball and football fan with the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys being his favorite teams. He was also an avid gardener. He had a particular passion for cacti and his family remembers the tomatoes from his garden being "simply the best you ever had."

E.J. is survived by sons, Dennis Fowler (Donna) and Randall Fowler (Kim); two grandchildren, Jeff Martin and Lisa McBridge; six great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Iva Fowler; brothers, Dick Fowler, Bonnie "Buck" Fowler, and Buster Fowler; sisters, Eddie Douglas and Evelyn Garrett; and his parents, James A. and Minnie May Fowler.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 2:30 pm.
