Patty R. Capshaw

Patty Capshaw, 81, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed on to be with Jesus on Monday, June 29th. Patty was born on February 12th, 1939 to Inez and Avery Hines, Sr. in rural Johnson County. She graduated from Cleburne High School in 1957 and quickly married and started her family.

She worked in banking most of her 50 year career, and founded American Dream Mortgage where she helped individuals reach their dream of home ownership.

Patty was involved with her Red Hat Society Club, Rotary Club of Fort Worth, Fort Worth Garden Club and weekly Lunch Bunch meetings with her Church Family at St. Matthews Methodist Church. Her greatest joy was serving as a foster parent through the Shih tzu Rescue Organization where she helped foster over 100 dogs through the years.

Outside of her many interests, her greatest love was her family. She was extremely proud of her kids, their spouses and her 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She always welcomed them with open arms and was part of every big event in their lives including graduations, weddings, new homes, births and everything in between.

Patty’s personality and love for glitz and glitter fashion made her stand out in a crowd. She never met a stranger in her life and to know her was to absolutely love her. The number of lives that she has impacted through her lifetime are countless. She loved her family fiercely and to see them happy and successful made her very proud. She constantly told those close to her that she loved them, and reminded them how blessed they all were to have each other. Her legacy of love, hard work and can-do attitude lives on through her family.

Patty is preceded in death by her parents, brother Avery Hines Jr., sister Linda Thiede, and her loving husband Don. She is survived by sisters Bobbie Hemrick, Betty Brown, Shirley Schumacher and Kay Ellis. Her five children and their spouses, Teri Ellis (Tom), Lori Watson (Leonard), Redonda Baker (Gary), Traci Pinkerton (Danny), Dwain Capshaw (Lisa); 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, countless family members, friends, and loved ones.

Patty's Visitation will be from 12:00 pm -1:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N Davis, Arlington, TX 76012. (Masks will be required) Interment to follow at Moore Memorial Gardens.

Services will be offered via Facebook Live. Family and friends wishing to join via Facebook can do so by visiting the Moore Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens Facebook page at service time. The streaming will begin shortly after scheduled service time.
