He is survived by his wife, Helen, of Arlington, son, Ronald Jr. of Cleburne, and stepchildren, Lori Gansert of Arlington, Allan Messman of Crowley, Steven Messman of Pilot Point, Karen Dickens of Arlington, and Michael Messman of Kerrville. Also his sisters, Shirley Hewitt and Carolyn Lower of Pennsylvania, and brother Lawrence "Bud" Wierman of Florida.
Ron was born December 30, 1933 in Arendtsville Pennsylvania to parents Alton Wierman and Esther Kane.
He graduated from high school and joined the military. He served in the Marines for 4 years and in the Air Force for 22 years. Ron was stationed in Germany, Okinawa, Alaska and Viet Nam. After leaving the military he worked for the US Post Office for 19 years.
He married Helen Messman, February 27, 1993 and were together for almost 27 years. They had 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. A lot to be proud of.
Ron and Helen enjoyed traveling together and visited almost every state together. They were members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arlington for several years.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for November 23, 2019 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2021 New York Ave Arlington, TX 76010 from 1:00-3:00pm. Come and go.
