Mrs. Mary Weismiller

23 June, 19281 April, 2021

WEISMILLER – MARY ANASTASIA (nee Adams) Our dear Mom passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side, Thursday April 1st, 2021 at the age of 92 years. Mom was born and raised in Sedley, Sask. the 5th child of Percival and Magdalena Adams. In 1950 she followed her dream as a nurse and moved to the town of Willow Bunch, Sask. where she took a nursing position at the Willow Bunch Union Hospital. This is where she met and married her forever partner Frank Weismiller. Together they worked hard on the Weismiller family farm while raising four beautiful girls. In 1983, they decided it was time to retire from the farm and move to town.

Mom was a nurturer and protector and gave everything she had to her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. It was her strong Catholic faith that got her through many life’s challenges. She was an extraordinary person who was loved by so many.

Mom’s life forever changed on April 27th, 2006 with the passing of her husband Frank of 53 years. She is also predeceased by her parents, Percival and Magdalena Adams, brothers Martin, Joseph, Peter and Rudolph Adams and sister Helen Benedict. Mom is survived by her children Susanne (Denis), Darlene (Dennis), Sharon (David) and Debbie (Larry). Also left to cherish her memory are her eight grandchildren Patrick (Lindsay), Kelly (Alex), Kristin (Lance), Jackie (Sean), Tammy (Calvin), Ricki (Don), Brad (Brittni) and Zachary, nine great-grandchildren and her sister Doris Klein. Words cannot explain the hole that has been left in our family’s hearts, but we will always cherish the wonderful memories, the love she gave and the family time we had with her. We love you Mom, Grandma and GG!

Thank you to the Nurses and CCA’s at Pioneer Lodge and Providence Place in Moose Jaw for your kindness, care, and compassion during Mom’s stay with a special thank you to Kathy Sugarman for being there for Mom during the moments when we couldn’t.

A private family Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the St. Ignace Roman Catholic Church, Willow Bunch, Sask. To the Weismiller daughters: Your mum was "one of a kind" so caring, determined, such a hard worker and a wonderful aunt. Our family still talks of her making us home made noodles, how we enjoyed her cooking! She had many qualities of her mum whom we hold so dear to our hearts, no wonder we liked Aunt Mary ...
We share your sadness but are comforted by the many beautiful, fun memories of our families visiting thru our childhood.
We will celebrate your mum's long, good life after COVID and share love and laughter.
Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you and your families.
Hugs, Aunt Doris and family

Susanne, Darlene, Sharon and Debbie...
It’s so hard loosing a parent 😓 I am sending my most compassionate condolences to each of you on your family’s loss. What an amazing mother you had, she was one of the best! I hold a special place in my heart for your mom. Auntie Mary was affectionate and caring and strong and precise. Your mom was a lot like Gramma...these were two women I learned so many good and genuine qualities from, and who I feel privileged to to have had the opportunity to learn from. Dad and mom had a special bond with your parents and I think us kids, were the ones who benefited from their relationship. Driving out to Willow Bunch for a visit was always a summer highlight for us all. Your mom and dad always had
so much patience and kindness with our visits, considering there were 8 kids in total. Your mom was an exceptional woman, who I will never forget and whom I am honoured to have called my Aunt. I have so many cherished memories that I will hold dear.
