Les created a beautiful life filled with love, family, and adventure. He was fortunate to have two great loves in his life and shared devoted marriages with his late wives, Anne and Arlene. He was a loving and dedicated husband to both.
Les was blessed not only to watch his children and grandchildren grow, but also to experience the joy of knowing his great-grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply.
He had a successful career as an metallurgical engineer, which allowed him to travel extensively for both work and pleasure. He loved sharing stories of the many places he visited and the experiences he had while living in different states throughout his life.
Les especially loved spending time on the water. He enjoyed sailboat racing, relaxing on his pontoon boat, riding jet skis, and even windsurfing from time to time.
Though he was a quiet and private man, Les touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on June 13, 2026, at Pixley Funeral Home in Auburn Hills. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Lunch will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Les’s honor may be made to the Macular Degeneration Research, the Dysphagia Research Society, or the National Breast Cancer Coalition.
