Rodolfo R. Hernandez Sr. was born in Austin, Texas on November 18, 1947 and passed away to be with the Lord on Sunday March 1, 2009, at the age of 61. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matilde and Martina Hernandez; brothers, Leandro, Matilde Jr., and Richard Hernandez; sister, Margaret Santiago. Rudy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dominga Hernandez; sons, Rodolfo Rudy Hernandez Jr., Christopher Rene Hernandez and his wife Denise; daughters, Michelle M. Hernandez, Sonia M. Hernandez and her husband Scott Bridwell; ten grandchildren, Ignacio, Jessica, Katherine, Kasandra, Ashley, Christopher, Vickie, Veronica, Christian, Rianna; one great-grandchild, Jasmine; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Pallbearers will be his nephews Tony Cortez, Paul James Cortez, Edward Gonzales, Michael Hernandez, Jorge Santiago, his son, Christopher Rene Hernandez and his granddaughter, Jessica Flores. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish South. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church with Reverend Jesse E. Euresti officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
