Mrs. Joyce Leone Bowen, age 91 passed Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Methodist North Hospital.
Joyce was born September 17, 1930 in Bee Branch, Arkansas to the late John and Lillie Duncan.
Joyce married the late Louis Clyde Bowen in 1946 and four children were born during their 62 year marriage. She leaves behind her 4 children, Darla Shannon, Tammy Harrison, Ronda Rotnicki, and Tracy Bowen; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was a kind, loving, happy and beautiful woman who blessed the lives of her family and friends. The loss of her will forever be felt by everyone that ever met her, everyone’s life that she touched.
Joyce always enjoyed the times spent laughing and showing that beautiful smile that will forever live in our hearts. She loved time spent playing hymns on her piano and keyboard, listening to music, playing games, and joking. Her laugh was contagious. The simple little moments that we will miss and we will reflect on until we see her again. More than a Mother, but a friend that can never be replaced, just remembered and loved forever.
She will be missed beyond imagination, but will always live with us each day in our hearts. A true angel that will guide us always.
A visitation for Joyce will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A committal service will be held at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38134.
