Billye L. Wood, 80 of Little River - Academy, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, in Temple, Texas. She was born on December 2, 1937, in Davilla, Texas and the daughter of Clarence and Lillie (Pustejovsky) Cummings. She was a member of the Little River / Academy United Methodist Church. Billye walked with the God and cared deeply for those around her. Billye will be greatly missed.
Billye was preceded in death by her Loving husband of almost 57 years Gary Wood, one daughter, Rosellen Wood, two sisters Jaydene White and Frances Zigalo. Billye is survived by four sons, Stephen Wood and wife Elizabeth of New Braunfels, Max Wood of Holland, Stuart Wood of Holland, and Allan Wood of Academy; one daughter, Margaret Wooley and husband Buck of Holland; seven grandchildren, Amanda Burbidge and husband David, Michelle Tippens, Richard Wood, Matthew Wooley, Carolyn Snoke and husband Nathan, Mitchell Wooley and wife Sheila, Rosellen Sirkis and husband Billy; Ten great-grandchildren, Phredric Wood, Preston McDowell, Arianna Tippens, Laurel Tippens, Stuart Wooley, Ethan Wooley, Brinley Burbidge, Giulana Snoke, Lauren Wooley and Eric Sirkis; two sisters, Betty Freeman of Troy and Sharon Kaderka of Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Matthew and Mitchell Wooley, Scott, Tommy, Billy and Roger Kaderka. Honorary pallbearers are Joel Freeman, Jon Freeman, Clayton White and Mark White.
A visitation will be Friday March 16, 2018 from 5 to 9 pm at Goodnight Funeral Home. The funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at11:00 a.m., at Goodnight Funeral Home Chapel in Bartlett, Texas with Pastor Lianne M. Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Davilla Cemetery in Davilla, Texas.
