
Bubba, as he was known to all, departed this life to be with God on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at 7 a.m. He was 25 years old and a resident of Baton Rouge. Survived by his parents, Sheri and Joel Gray of Baton Rouge; his two precious children, Landon LaRue and Aaliyah Alexis; sister, Brittany Gray; his only niece, Anjolie "A.J." Bozeman of Buford, Ga.; maternal grandmother, Marie Taylor of Gonzales; paternal grandmother, Gwendolyn "Chic" Gray of Baton Rouge; and aunts and uncles, Terrie Daigle of Gonzales, Angela Daigle and Giles Lemoine of Maurepas, Brent Daigle and wife Nicole of Gonzales, Joleen and Randy Hays of Baton Rouge, and Allison and Albert Mendibles of Prescott Valley, Ariz. He brought smiles to faces of his cousins, Tina, Briana and Colin Daigle, all of Gonzales, Brandi, Brandon and Christen Hays, all of Baton Rouge, and Megan and Matthew Mendibles, both of Prescott Valley. He also is survived by his companion, Melissa Bennett of Baton Rouge. He was also loved by the members of a family, Wayne Jr., Susan, Ed, Stephanie and their mother, Shelby. Preceded in death by his grandfathers, Oscar James Daigle and William Truman Gray; an uncle, Phillip "P.J." Leonard; and great-grandparents, Roy and Bernice Haydel and Luce and Oscar Daigle. He was an employee with Advantage Landscaping. He had love and passion for art, sports and his friends. Pallbearers will be Doty Gautreau, Pat Decoteau, Brandon Hays, Paul Moran, Anthony Duncan and Mike Palermo. Honorary pallbearers are David Hunter, Jay Decoteau, Jason Traylor, Dale Hebert, Adam Gautreau, Titus Knight and Brent and Colin Daigle. Visitation at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, St. Gabriel, on Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting resumes at the church on Thursday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Greg Daigle. Interment in the church cemetery.
